Now more than ever, you are needed to donate your old blankets, towels, and sheets to your local animal shelter. With financial cut-backs, repairs on shelters are often put off, so if it's drafty, the animals suffer. I know my shelter uses rags to stuff under doors. No kidding! Empty out those closets... this is your chance to get rid of stuff and do something useful!

The flood of letters and calls to Mayor Cory Booker of Newark have been working so keep them rolling in. Letters are most important - Judges WILL TYPICALLY TAKE ALL LETTERS/E-MAILS INTO CONSIDERATION UPON SENTENCING. Her hearing is tomorrow. I am trying to find out the time.

Cheryl Hanna of Examiner.com has the story on updated charges.
Late this afternoon, charges have been upgraded by the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals against Patrick's former owner, Kisha Curtis. The charges against Curtis allege "torture and torment of a living creature" which according to Matthew Stanton, spokesperson for the NJSPCA, is a fourth degree criminal charge. Curtis faces a maximum punishment of 18 months in jail and a $3000. fine.
And another story Hanna wrote about the case as well.

For all who are just learning about this...

Here is where Patrick was found after he was starved to near-death. He weighed just 20 lbs and should have weighed 50-60.  He was bagged and thrown down the garbare chute, 22 stories down. Hence why I'm calling this piece of garbage Curtis woman a piece of garbage.

But here's how Patrick is doing!
