Now more than ever, you are needed to donate your old blankets, towels, and sheets to your local animal shelter. With financial cut-backs, repairs on shelters are often put off, so if it's drafty, the animals suffer. I know my shelter uses rags to stuff under doors. No kidding! Empty out those closets... this is your chance to get rid of stuff and do something useful!

Hearing - NYC Animal Care & Control, Board of Directors Meeting and Public Testimony



This hearing took place yesterday to protest the poor treatment and unnecessary euthanization of healthy and adoptable animals within the shelter system in New York City (I've posted about it here). I was not able to attend, but thanks to technology, we can all see what took place.

I'll be posting on the attendees' report once I get the scoop.
