Now more than ever, you are needed to donate your old blankets, towels, and sheets to your local animal shelter. With financial cut-backs, repairs on shelters are often put off, so if it's drafty, the animals suffer. I know my shelter uses rags to stuff under doors. No kidding! Empty out those closets... this is your chance to get rid of stuff and do something useful!

George The Nice Calm Dog

Meet George, featured pet today from the Yonkers Animal Shelter.
George is a middle-aged man, at 8 years old (so he's 56, past the 50-I gotta-be-me-thing but not so old he doesn't still turn heads.) The ladies like him well enough. He is mild mannered, quiet, and just a nice dog. He doesn't make a lot of noise, he patiently waits his turn for a walk, goes back in his pen when it's time. Come and meet him!

Wait, who are you? Let me take a sniff.

Oh, okay, it's you... cool!
